International Concert Tour: South America
San Jose Youth Symphony (SJYS)
is proud to announce the 2009 International Concert
Tour: South America. This international tour to
Chile and Argentina will be a first for SJYS in
its 56-year history! The tour will be a 15-day custom
performance tour. The tour will be begin in San
Francisco traveling to Santiago de Chile, Chile
where we will tour La Moneda Palace, the Plaze de
Armas, the Museo Chileno de Arte Precolombino, the
colonial Iglesia de San Francisco and the gardens
of Santa Lucia Hill.
Then on to Mendoza, Cordoba and Rosario, Argentina for guided tours and sight seeing. In Buenos Aires we will tour the Plaza de Mayo, the Metropolitan Cathedral, Congress Hall and the fashionable Recoleta area.
Throughout the tour San Jose Youth Symphony will perform 5 concerts at musically and culturally significant venues such as Teatro Municipal in Santiago de Chile, Teatro Municipal in Mendoza, Grand Teatro in Cordoba, Teatro El Circulo in Rosario and Facultad de Derecho of the University of Buenos Aires.
